Initial At Home Consult 1.5 to 2 hours
During this appointment I will take a full maternal medical, pregnancy, birth and breastfeeding history to date. I will take infants medical and developmental history to date. I will observe a full breast feed, check baby’s growth and development and do an oral assessment. Together with the parents, I will provide a feeding management plan. I will refer to other Health Professionals if indicated.

GP referral to Narelle Crane for Post Natal Midwifery and lactation Support is required
The amount of rebate is dependant on your Medicare Safety Net level (A typical long post natal visit – Item number 82135 – may be rebated $62.25 to $83.75)
All visits will entail some out of pocket costs.
Some Private Health Funds will reimburse part of the consultation fee for lactation support (You need to check this with your Private Health Fund)
